Frequently asked questions
Location is used solely to fetch the weather forecast for your area. Without it, we can't tell you whether conditions are good for a run or whether to carry an umbrella. We request location only while you have the app open — we do not track you in the background. You can grant "While using the app" permission in iOS Settings → Daywise → Location.
Daywise uses professional-grade weather data from a third-party weather provider. Forecast accuracy depends on your location and how far ahead you're looking — same-day forecasts are highly reliable, while multi-day forecasts carry more uncertainty. Always use your own judgment, especially for important outdoor plans.
The Move score (0–100) reflects how suitable the current weather is for outdoor activity. It factors in temperature, wind speed, precipitation probability, and UV index. A score above 70 means great conditions; below 40 means you might prefer indoor options. The score isn't a strict rule — it's a quick shorthand to help you decide.
No. The Feel section provides general information about how weather conditions (atmospheric pressure, humidity, temperature swings) can correlate with common feelings like fatigue, headaches, or joint discomfort. It is not medical advice and does not account for your individual health situation. Consult a healthcare professional for any medical concerns.
Go to the Settings tab inside the app and toggle "Daily briefing notifications". You can also manage all notifications from iOS Settings → Notifications → Daywise. We'll only send you the morning brief — no marketing or spam.
First, make sure location permission is set to "While using the app" in iOS Settings → Daywise → Location. If you've recently moved or the forecast still seems off, try closing and reopening the app to trigger a fresh weather fetch. If the issue persists, please email us with your city/country and we'll investigate.
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. To cancel: open iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Daywise → Cancel subscription. Make sure to cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged. If you need help, contact us and we'll guide you through it.
The most recent brief is cached on your device and accessible without internet. However, to get updated recommendations, the app needs a connection to fetch the latest weather data. We recommend opening the app while connected in the morning for the freshest daily brief.
Daywise supports iPhone running iOS 16.0 or later. We recommend an up-to-date version of iOS for the best experience. Android support is planned for a future release.

🗑 How to delete your data

Daywise does not require an account and stores most data locally on your device. To remove all data:

  1. Open iOS Settings → scroll down to Daywise
  2. Tap "Delete App" — this removes the app and all locally stored preferences and cached weather data
  3. Confirm deletion when prompted

If you have concerns about any other data (e.g. from crash reporting), email us at jaroslav.trubac@gmail.com with the subject line "Data deletion request" and we will process it within 30 days in line with GDPR.
